He has made a stunning blend of contrast and contradiction. Musk mallow seeds, pear leaf, geranium and oak moss are lifted by flashes of amber, patchouli and muscular ambrox. "I wanted to create a different vision of masculinity. Rather than focusing on fresher accords, I wanted to pump up the volume in the woody opening note and throw in a few surprises along the way."
